廖凯，英国皇家雕塑家协会会员，中国工艺美术协会雕塑专业委员会委员，建设部全国城雕委执证雕塑家。

　　近年来成功创作了大量大型红色题材雕塑作品。2004年，为贵州遵义会议纪念馆创作雕塑作品《历史转折》；为贵州张学良将军幽禁地纪念馆创作石雕作品《张学良将军》；2005年，为贵州独山抗日纪念馆创作抗日题材雕塑《黔南怒潮》；2006年，为贵州四渡赤水纪念馆创作雕塑作品《四渡赤水》；2007年，为红军青杠坡战斗遗址创作战争题材雕塑《青杠坡战斗》；2009年，为红军娄山关战斗遗址创作《娄山关大捷》系列雕塑，为彭雪枫陈列馆创作《彭雪枫纪念像》；2010年为中国女红军纪念馆创作雕塑作品《浴血天使》等。

　　同时，廖凯还创作了大量以民族风情和地方文化为题材的文化景观和城市雕塑作品。

　　他在长期的雕塑学习与实践中，逐步形成了自己的一些艺术特征，尤其是在重大历史题材和纪念性雕塑方面有较强的创新能力。为创作而深入更多的历史风云，因触及更多的惨烈事件而内心颤抖的同时，他领悟到艺术的路就两条：小路，娱人娱己；大路，震撼人心。

Feelings about the Long March——Appreciation of Liao Kai`s Sculptures

　　Liao kai is the member of Royal British Society of Sculptors, the member of Sculpture Professional Committee of China Arts and Crafts Association, the Certified sculptor of National City Sculpture Committee of the Ministry of Construction.

　　In recent years, he has created many large-scaled sculptures with the subject of Red Army.

　　In 2004, Liao Kai created the sculpture "the Historical Turning Point" for Zunyi Conference Memorial Museum of Guizhou, created stone carving "General Zhang Xueliang" for the place , where he was put under  house arrest.

　　In 2005 , Liao Kai created the sculpture "Angry Tide in the South of  Guizhou" with the subject of Anti-Japanese War.

　　In 2006, Liao Kai created sculpture "4 Times Crossing the Chishui River " for  Four Times Crossing Chishui Memorial Museum.

　　In 2007,Liao Kai created the sculpture， with the subject of war,"the Battle in Qinggangpo"

　　In 2009, Liao Kai created a series of sculptures, named"Great Victory in Loushanguan", "Peng Xuefeng Memorial Statue" for Lousanguan Battle site and Pen Xuefeng memorial hall.

　　In 2010, Liao Kai created the sculpture "Bloody Angel" for Chinese Female Red Army Memorial Museum.

　　At the same time, Liao Kai created a large number of culture landscape as well as city sculptures which were based on ethnic and local cultures.

　　During the long term of study and practice of sculpture, he gradually has his own artistic characteristics, especially has strong ability of innovation .  In order to create works, he goes deep into historical wind and cloud, his heart shaked due to more tragic events. At the same time , he realized  that the way of art has two: path, entertaining entertainment yourself; The road, shocking the soul.
